Prof. Devireddy Sarada is the Rector of Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam with a responsibility of academic and research, administration and coordination of allied activities in the university. She has 36 years of experience in teaching, research, consultancy, administration and extension. Her academic and research specialization encompasses; Home Science Extension Education, Public nutrition, Dietetics and Family life education and her Alma mater includes; Andhra Pradesh Agricultural University(former), S.V.University, Christian Medical College and Hospital, S.P. Mahila University. She has published 10 books, research articles in international (30) and national (60) journals and books. In addition, She has handled five research projects and eight consultancy research projects. She has served as Dean Development, Dean International Relations, Director of Consultancy Services, Nodal officer and coordinator of Bachelor of Vocational Programmes, Head of the Department, Coordinator of IQAC, Coordinator of TePP Outreach Centre (TUC) of DSIR and Warden of SPMVV Hostels. Her participation in curriculum development and evaluation covers; BOS chairperson, member of BOS, BOE, Research committees, Paper setter, Examiner, Selection committee member for various Universities. She is a life member of several professional organizations at national level. Her travel to few countries; Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Canada, Sweden,Ethiopia, Poland and Denmark enriched her vision and capabilities to work in the field of women’s education
