Music, one of the most popular fine arts, has the potential to facilitate earning ones livelihood, besides giving immense aesthetic pleasure both to the performer and the listener. The Department offers courses, which trains the students well-formed musicians, dance performers and academicians eligible to take up positions like teaching in Schools, Colleges, and Universities, opportunities in All India Radio, Doordarshan, Concert performances / Research activities and also setting up own music and dance schools.
